New Year New Goals. I've been super distracted with the idea of getting laid off, being laid off, going to Jamaica (YES JAMAICA)and the Holidays that I haven't visited or updated my own blog in so long that I actually had to look up an old email to even remember where to find it. So now that all of that is behind me it's time to get back with it. I've visited a few new places very recently which is hard for me because I'm a in my box kind of person it actually takes effort to remember to do something different.

This place was really cute. Looks like it may have been someones beach side cottage back in the 20's. Really small. On one side you have cute little shops and on the other the Pacific Ocean. Long lines that move super fast. My daughter and I were told 20 minutes to wait and we may have waited 10 minutes or so. So we go in and because the inside of the restaurant (there is outdoor dining) is so small the tables are really close to each other and they are also really small. Which isn't good since when I go out I need to try at least 2 or 3 things on a menu. Needless to say our little table was packed.
Anyway, the menu was pretty basic. Because we went for breakfast I honestly didn't even look at the lunch side of menu. Of course the specialty is pancakes but they also have a variety of waffles and various egg dishes. The usual. HOWEVER, something absolutely caught my eye. One of my biggest demons is bacon so if something has bacon mixed in I'm not passing it up. If it has bacon and CHEESE oh HUUUNNEEEYYY HERE WE GO!!!
So I ordered the Bacon and Cheese Waffles and this beautiful dish called a Potato Stroganauff. The potatos were cooked up with bacon and american cheese and then topped with two gorgeous dollops of sour cream. My daughter said it just tasted like a baked potato and I have to agree with her but that was a great spin on a baked potato.
The bacon and cheese waffles were a bit of a disappointment. I just don't think it's worth it. It wasn't bad AT ALL the waffles were great. I just don't see where the bacon and cheese added to the waffle. I wouldn't order this again. My daughter ordered the Macadamia Nut Pancakes. You had two pancakes with the macadamia nuts stirred in the batter and then tossed on top at the end. Ehhh not exciting. They were good as far as pancakes go but just not exciting. Did I mention how exciting the potatos were? GREAT!!
